It is not intended as a historical monograph of the Ka-50 program that led to the Ka-52, although a short historical background will be furnished in the opening chapter. Subsequent chapters will focus on the technical systems, sensors, defensive aids and armament of the land based and maritime variants. A brief resume of the service entry and operational history of the land based and maritime variants will be furnished, including brief details of operations in the Syrian Arab Republic in 2016-2017.
