In his research, Joachim Schneider describes and analyses successful PP- schemes abroad for this particular application: namely T JD (Transit Joint Development), TOO (Transit oriented Development) and DBOM - schemes (Design, Build, Operate, Maintenance or Concession type contracts). These schemes are illustrated with actual examples from the United States and the United Kingdom. The theory of New Institutional Economics is applied to elaborate on the efficiency of these schemes.
