Biography: Born on a farm in 1931, Joyce McCain Hartman completed college, taught for three years, became a counselor for ten years. After two failed marriages, she wed Clarence Hartman in 1969 and became a full-time homemaker, an occupation she considered her most challenging. In addition to family she was free to follow her own interests: music, composing, art, puppetry, and writing. She participated in her church, community and in Aglow, Intl. She gave birth to three children and has six step-children. Writing continues to occupy her time.
