The artist has created a stunning array of Celtic crosses, flowers and floral influenced pictures, and Zendoodle-type of drawings to create beautiful line-art illustrations that range from simple to challenging to color. There is also a list of coloring books in the back of the book that provides readers and colorists a 'wish-list' for purchasing the artist's other Big Kid Coloring Books, ranging from line art to gray-scale (photo-based) coloring books. The book is standard publisher paper (60# weight) and non-perforated paper with glue binding. Colorists can choose to use dry media (crayons or colored pencils) or wet media (markers, gel pens, or paints). (It is advised to use thick blotter paper between pages to avoid bleed onto the next page to complete the beautiful and rich illustrations if the colorist uses markers, paints, or gel pens that bleed through paper.) ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dawn D. Boyer, Ph.D. has been drawing since she was 5years old. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University's, Bachelor of Art Program, then later at Radford University, earning her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive style for her pen and ink illustrations of old barns and houses, as well as Colonial Williamsburg architectural portraiture.
