The rock gardens were one of the attractive features of the New York Show and there were many exquisitely arranged private exhibits, of which there were few in Philadelphia. At neither show were any startling novelties shown, but both were most interesting. The New York exhibit was the larger and more elaborate. The attendance at both was very large, an evidence of the constantly increasing interest in gardens and gardening.
