We know there is a demand, a fundamental human need for people to come together. We can inspire people, creating powerful moments and memorable stories. We influence people. Sometimes we even change lives. We are in a powerful position. But events are both inspiring, and, challenging. We can (and should) use events as a catalyst to achieve our desired goal. To create attention, action, and celebration. To connect, engage, and influence. Impact in that moment, and for the future. But it's not easy. Events have 2 sides. They are inspiring, and challenging. And some times we spend to much time on the wrong side. Event people are passionate, we work hard, and we deserve to do well. It is difficult to always get it right, but it is possible. We can learn so much from each others lived experiences, our real world learnings. And after 25+ years in the industry, I now want to share my learnings. To help event people, and event owners succeed in our influential but challenging world of events. As an Advisor, Speaker, Mentor, and host of 'The Event Show', I am hoping to connect people to meaningful knowledge, insights from some of the worlds more interesting thinkers, the leading events, and event people. And so, I hope this book will help event people and teams to work better, and live better. To have more influence.
