Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this volume, I have tried to offer an insight into New York City as Sri Chinmoy might have found it in 1964, and also the haven that he discovered in Woodstock. In addition, I have included transcripts of some evening gatherings at Sri Chinmoys home. They capture the delightful and unstructured ebb and flow of conversation, informal questions, personal guidance, reflections, and humorous asides. These were the moments when time itself seemed to stretch endlessly, punctuated only by the striking of a wall clock, the barking of Sri Chinmoys little dog or the mimicking calls of his mynah bird.
