Others began gaining weight due to the body reaching a stage when it was in such a desperate condition that malnutrition had set in. And that is why it was putting on weight as a last resort in order to protect the body from any sort of future starvation. If you say, I cannot do without my potato chips, or my sugar fix, well, you are not ready to live a lifestyle which were followed by our ancestors all over the world, millenniums ago.
